The easiest thing to do is to keep your searches for ebay jewelry simple and short. If you type in jewelry, eBay takes you to its Jewelry & Watches category. From here you can drill down by selecting another category that more closely matches what you are looking for. Some examples are: Rings, Necklaces & Pendants, Earrings, Bracelets, and Watches. You get the idea… you might even find some Gucci like that modeled by Drew Barrymore above while shopping for eBay jewelry!
You have two ways to purchase: either buy it up front, or bid on it at auction. If the item has a Buy it Now! price listed, you pay that and it’s yours. Most pieces have a buy it now price, but not all. Some pieces are only sold at auction.
After you are in the general category that you want, you can search by sale type by selecting the tabs that say Auction or Buy it Now. By default you will see all of these listings no matter how they are sold. This way you can shop which ever way you feel most comfortable. Some people only buy by Auction. Others like to just Buy it Now. The default search lets you be flexible.
You can check out the sellers’ information really easily after you find the item that you want. It is typically on the upper right hand side of the screen. By having an active feedback system in place eBay sets up the sellers to make customers happy.
Customers can leave positive, neutral, or negative feedback about their transaction. Sellers who accumulate negative or neutral feedback have a really hard time selling anything at all. This means that any serious seller will do whatever they can to ensure that you are delighted with your purchase. Remember to play fair. If you have a problem with your purchase give the seller a chance to make it right before you leave neutral or negative feedback.
Please remember that sellers can leave feedback on buyers too. This way everyone concerned has incentive to make things work well.
