EBay shopping can be a rewarding experience for anyone who is the least bit used to shopping online. If you know how to search and you know a get deal when you see one all you need to do is register and you’re on your way.

Registering on eBay is easy. Simply click here. We think it’s a good idea to register before you go shopping. That way when you see what you want, you won’t have to be bothered by register while you are paying. Everything just seems smoother that way. Some people shop when they need something, others like to shop in case they need something.

Most people who go online know how to perform a simple search. EBay is built around this idea. There are lots of categories to help you and jewelry is found in the Jewelry & Watches category. By typing in what you are interested in in the search bar, you will get a list of items. The list you get will have the auctions that are about to end on top. The more words you type in like ‘Vintage Diamond Watches’ without the quotation marks, the more specific your search will be.

There are two ways to buy items on eBay, either by auction, or if it’s possible at the “Buy it Now” price. If you don’t want to wait for the auction to end, or are concerned about missing out to a higher bid the “Buy it Now” price is the one you want. Please take the time to check out the seller’s feedback conformation and preferred method of payment before you bid. While most people do, not everyone takes Pay Pal. If you don’t have a Pay Pal account set up, you may want to do that as well before you start bidding.

The last thing to think about is the shipping cost. It does make a difference! People on eBay are selling from all over the world. You may see exactly what you want, only to find out that the shipping is as much or more than the item that you are bidding on. This is no problem if you know this up front. We just want you to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

One other little tip: if you see something that you like, check out the sellers’ recent feedback. You may find that the item you are looking at has been purchased by someone else recently and you can see what they paid for it. You can use this information to gauge the price range of what is currently being auctioned. This doesn’t always work, but we appreciate the info when it is there.
